Hey hows it going ? I have been gaming since I was 6 with an Atari 2600 and continue to be an avid gamer , I remember taking apart 2600 joysticks and fooling around with the buttons to make the atari do different things and how cool it was , I fondly remember what an accomplishement it seemed like to me when I discovered the easter egg in adventure that showed the creators name in a secret room and thought I was the coolest , lol, or that I figured out how to play indiana jones on same system, I have had colecovision, colecovision ADAM , Nintendo NES, Sega master system, Vectrex, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64, Playstation 1 and 2 , Sega Dreamcast and I may be forgetting some things , I kind of got out of gaming for a while but eventually gravitated back , I have always wanted and tried to 'hack' systems and uncover secret stuff that gave you , well, secret stuff . I remember fondly when I first upgraded from 56k modem to broadband and it was around the exact same time someone showed me Napster, lol I thought Napster was stupid since it took like 25 minutes to an hour to download one song , then I got broadband and downloaded like 5000 songs in two days like a junkie drinking coffee and smoking cigerettes staying up for two days trying to hurry up before it didnt work anymore , I remember copying dreamcast titles using blanks and actually having one work was the balls !!! well when I came back to gaming I rented a room in a pasters house and joined his church community and the son used to play the xbox 360 all the time , a game called Call of duty Zombies , I remember watching him play and would ask 'how do you beat the board or go to the next level? to which he replied you dont you see how far you can get , ,,,,,wow . I thought that was the stupidest thing in the world , what was the point of doing that , by this time I was in my late 20's early 30's and I eventually bought one of those xbox 360's and only played like madden or nfl2k type games , I wound up getting slowly led back to adventure type stuff by picking up a copy of the orange box because I remembered fondly playing half life on my computer in those Napster days and wanted to try it out , it solidified the statement I had made earlier on in life in that halflife was hands down one of the greatest titles I have ever played or seen ,(like I was this great authority on the subject) lol , eventually I tried this zombie game and became an addict , I recall buying every COD title thinking that the Zombies would be on all of them and not knowing at the time about Treyarch and Not worth mentioning and the differences between their own spin on the COD franchise , then this kid on live kept nudging me to play Battlefield , over and over I tried it and proclaimed how much I thought it sucked , lol , dropping in running to get to the battle for 5 minutes only to be picked off by a sniper and do it all over again ... this was my issue with online gaming and killed it for a lot of players , well I ate my own words and after a while became a Battlefield FANBOY and literally hated COD and the squekers that played it , I truly felt and still feel that that game is a twitch muscle memory game and sucks to play since getting picked off by some camper is bs ,Battlefield was a different experience I could work with a team and use vehicles and other types of weaponry with my group and slaughter the campers and the other team, I eventually started the Ksir clan on COD and gravitated the whole clan during this transisiton to Battlefield to the point where we had over 300 members , 3 servers during the time of bf4 and would fill up complete lobbies and just decimate people ..lol, I would play for 2 to 4 hours a night and work full time , tired all day and tired all night lol, I reunited with a woman I went to grade school with and she moved in and no other woman took me away from gaming online for about 15 years until this one and she gamed herself , ahem , maybe lol she played nintendo and a game called mario party , ha ha so I humored her and played a llittle with her and began to enjoy the laid back style of just playing with her and not competing online and destroying noobs ,lol its been four years now and here is the scoop on where Im at now , I have three rg350's and studied my ass off to learn to use mame , I also around the same time bought a cocktail arcade cabinet and loaded it up with a game elf that I was disappointed that I could not write to and add stuff but I learned how to use a bunch of emulators and am super novice at it if something messes up I can try it again but do not know how to read code or any of that stuff to fix internall mistakes or bugs , I bought a usb flash drive loaded with games that you put into the sony playstation retro machine this is basically retroarch which I wish I understood how to use better , I learned to put retroarch on my phone and got a few games to work but its still not super solid and easy for me , then I got a retropi machine , uses a lot of the same hardware and loaded that up , the wife and i got two nintendo switches and bought them from a guy who modds them he sold them to us both modded with the xsos pro dongle and a hard drive with about 2000 games but this wasnt good enough for me and I wanted to know how to do it myself , we probably played the switch for a few weeks and got bored with it as the only good titles would be the mario ones and truly I just didnt enjoy the gaming community on it for games like fps type stuff and I think thats its niche anyways well mario party only had three maps and we needed our fix so it was time to buy a modded wii ,,, learned about home brew and wanted to know more , I also got a modded cfw 3ds and bought an unmodded one from gamestop thinking I could mod it myself , I tried and followed the guide on github and failed because I deleted the fake friend that gets downloaded in trying to start over then I couldnt figure out how to plant the movable sed again and gave up about six months went by and I got some free time on my hands and I decided to try again and was successful and now can go inside and out on one so I thought I wonder if I can do it to the switch , meaning could I myself download a game and actually get it to play , well I tried and I screwed up my switch and cannot get past the flash screen in the beginning where you choose to either run cfw or nin firmware , I updated the sx os firmware to I think 3.0 or something by just replacing the DAT file and it wouldnt run at all after that , luckily we have two and I took the old DAT file off of the other one and replaced it again and everything worked again but I didnt want to give up there ,I got a copy of super mario 3d all stars xci and nps and neither would run but the xci would show the cover art in the game list when I loaded the xci , i thought it wouldnt run because on the ofw side of the unit i was at nin fw 10.2 but in the cfw section i was at 9 i think so I figured after reading one article and not doing proper research I would update the ofw and from that point now it wont go to the cfw , I tried to join xecuter and their website still says I have to verify my email address which I already did, I clicked to resend and none came I clicked to resend verification again and no email came so I guess thats dead I cant download the sx updater as it says download permission not granted, I just tried the smash and gui injector thing and I am still trying to work on it , the switch works on the regular nintendo firmware but not the other side and I updated on the other side using choidujonair or whatever lol but I dont know how to get back into that section to add gold leaf or any of the other things since I cant get into that side of the ?partition? not sure how it works , but anyways thats a nice long story of introduction now I hope someone feels bad enough for me to help lol ,,thanks for reading
