Playing around with the Wii we get an update box pop up asking if we want to update to 1.0.8 from our current 1.0.3......do we want this? Will this help my USB issues?

    YES, YES, AND YES!

HBC 1.0.8 adds full hardware access without cIOS, adds USB2.0 support, plus it changes the TitleID so that an official update can't erase it! ALWAYS update the HBC!

Be sure your USB is in FAT/FAT32

The USB came with the game so shouldn't it already be set up? I haven't put the USB into my computer as it is what is needed to make the sensors for my game work (EA Sport Active 2)

[IMG] Please say us what do you want to do? The homebrew channel is only able to use USB HDD's, do you mean the USB device needed fot EA Sport Active 2? Are you playing from disc or USB HDD?
