I feel like this is better as a separate topic in terms of helping me find the answer. I once installed something on my Supercard to make it so that whenever I hold Y at startup it goes directly to moonshell. The benefit was that whenever I was in my car or using my DS as an mp3 player I could just hold Y and it would boot to moonshell, but when I wanted to play the DS normally I would just start up the system without doing anything extra.

The problem is I installed it like a year ago and I can't recall what it was called at all. I'd love to see if I could reinstall it on my new DSi cart.

Yes that was it! It looks like it was only built for the SCDS one though D:

Thanks still. I wish there was some way this would work for other cards too.

Why not run the roms off Moonshell 2 as well?
You can play games as well as well as listen to music and watch movies. It supports a variety of flashcarts too.

I haven't used Moonshell 2 at all (I'm running a Supercard DS One, would it work?) but visually it faster to navigate when I can see the icons and i guess it just looks nicer.
