Fully possible without any additional purchases

Start from here https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-1-(Homebrew)

After you finish the guide you'll have arm9loaderhax which, paired with Luma allows installation of pretty much anything including "backups ;)"
gonna try it hope it work ty u so much

You should be able to, yes.

If you follow the guide to the letter there is little chance that you will perma-brick your system

Just DO NOT format the system once you're on 2.1.0 (you shouldn't need to) or you won't be able to continue past the first-run setup since it asks you to enable 3D mode...

I would also suggest installing the a9lh guide enhancement browser extension, it makes it a little easier since you can mark steps as completed while you're waiting (and there's a lot of waiting...) so you don't lose track of where you are

Also, don't skip on any of the steps that seem like they aren't necessary... You'll want all of those backups even if it seems like you don't need them...

After everything is installed you can delete all of the backups, but I would suggest you keep the very first one you make that doesn't yet include any modifications (if you ever want to revert) and the latest one with A9LH installed... everything in between is just temporary...
