Hacking the switch doesn't ban you if you are being careful and read all the information on various threads.

Installing any NSP leaves a trace and thus makes it easy for Nintendo to ban you as mentioned several time not only in this thread but in the forum.

You're learning so don't be so apologetic.

What might be frustrating for other is that they take their time to share their knowledge but some people get too impatient and just do their own thing and then ask the questions later.
Or worse, ask question that has been answered many times before.

This forum is here for a reason and they are many post directed for Noobs that cover all the basis.

The switch is not a computer where you add install / uninstall software or format it they way you would another operating system.

You should be aware of the risk before doing any serious modification to the console.

For your information emunand has been released a couple of days ago so you could have followed of the many tutorials on how to install safely then played around and install this NSP without risk of being flagged by Nintendo.

But as I say, you're learning - the hard way - and you probably won't be the last one that makes this mistake. At the end of the day it's your console.

It's not that bad, getting banned isn't the end of the world. That said, own up your mistakes.

Either use emuMMC when using homebrew nsps or restore a clean and before you go online, it's simple. I hate having to use title redirection so the hbmenu and retroarch nsps look great on the homescreen

Hmm, "nx-hbloader v2.2.0-"... is the "-" intentional? Just curious, everything seems to be working great, thanks for the update.

When I install this I get a spinning circle on my home screen as if the icon is loading and I can't launch it. I'm running atmosphere 0.9.4 with 9.00 sig patches.

Not sure what's causing that, but this is currently out of date anyway, hasn't been updated for the latest hbl

Install it with Goldleaf. For some reason Tinfoil DZ causes that.

You're right, I thought we got another new hbl release with a recent atmosphere release, but I was thinking of hbmenu.

Thanks for the heads up. The github says:
    • Updated for and built with libnx v3.0.0.
    • Reduced memory footprint.
    • Minor optimizations and bugfixes.
    • Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.
    https://github.com/switchbrew/nx-hbloader/releases

EDIT: I can't get this to install at all. Hm.

Say, if I install the nsp, it will simply redirect to the nro right? So even if the nsp isn't updated, it should launch the latest hbmenu since the nro is the latest one. Or if it doesn't is the creator gonna update the nsp?
