    HBC alternative for Wii

Homebrew Filter, the open-source alternative to The Homebrew Channel has received a rather large update, the most notable new features are NTFS file system support and Gamecube homebrew support. See the 'Changelog' below for more information. Homebrew Filter also contains custom theme support.[/p]

cMIOS needed for GC homebrew? Is there a specific one necessary, or will any do?

Slightly off topic but: Can HW_AHBPROT be used to patch MIOS in memory and negate the need for cMIOS for loading GC homebrew etc.?

Well you cant launch GC homebrew without a patched mios. I use cmios v4 from WiiPowers Installer and it works. Maybe WiiPower can add AHBPROT support to his Installer?

I meant using AHBPROT to temporarily patch MIOS, so that the installer would be unnecessary. (similar to the way stuff like FTPii uses on-the-fly IOS patches to get NAND access etc. instead of needing an actual patched IOS).
