Enjoy. Remember, boot.elf in root of SD card.
A member with only 35 posts releases a new? version of the homebrew channel.
Its is a .wad, so it should be installed with the wadinstaller. So the 'Remember, boot.elf in root of SD card.' sentence does not make any sense.
Ill wait for i reliable source to post this V3 of the homebrew channel.
...What is it exactly ? changelog ?
sorry to ask but how exactly does this work ? If I install this will I be able to boot homebrew without Twilight Princess ?
How do I install it ?
thx in advance and thx for sharing
You use the wad installer (included in most VC releases) to install it. It becomes a channel that lets you run homebrew without TP.
Anything new compared to v1 or something?
Are you able to install VC games using this version of the homebrew channel? on previous versions you couldn't.
Actually we can, at least I can.
yes this is going to be interesting. I have seen this for download elsewhere. Gonna give it a try and see if I can install VC games through it.
The version of the homebrew channel i have (older than this version) lets me install VC np i have a version with no time limit.
Is this the elf loader Homebrew Launcher v0.3 turned into an installable wad?
If it is turned into a .wad, it would appear as an VC channel, so there would be no need for the 'remember boot.elf in the root of the SD card.' sentence.
So... probably not.
The channel works the same way as the Twilight Hack, it boots whatever is the 'boot.elf' from your SD. The sentence is perfectly acceptable.
for those, who aren't sure about the release
Thats the homebrew launcher, not the homebrew channel.
Made that mistake too in my earlier post.
Which would be better if I want to launch VC games? TP hack or this?
I installed this and it just booted up a black screen with an error loading DOL message o. O
Hell, an update to the Wii Homebrew Launcher is a nice addition. Especially this:
Creating a menu accessible by the START key enabling:
-- Back to the menu Wii
Now if only there was a way to do that in FCEU Wii.
