Hacking homebrew channel upside down! ..how do i fix this?

i think it went upside down after the "Restoring the Trucha Bug" section

install a non-fakesigned IOS61 [using either 1)dop-ios mod or 2)wad manager + nus downloader (to download and pack the wad)]

then rerun the hackmii installer and reinstall the homebrew channel, it will now be right-side up

And it only seems to happen with his updated mod packages


This was the fail safe package that worked for me on 2 wiis

But the later pack is giving everyone bad upside down hbc problems...

it has nothing to do with the "download pack", but one file in particular... the new rev of the hackmii installer installs a version of homebrew that will flip upside down if the IOS it is using is trucha bugged. This is team twiizzers way of passively battling piracy (and cioscorp). To fix the problem, all u need to do, is either install a non-fakesigned ios of w/e ios ur homebrew channel is running on (which can be determined by hitting the home button from inside the HBC and looking into the top right corner, or bottom right corner if its upside down).

Or u can install a non-fakesigned IOS61 [using either 1)dop-ios mod or 2)wad manager + nus downloader (to download and pack the wad)]. Then rerun the hackmii installer and reinstall the homebrew channel (it will install using IOS61 this time), and it will now be right-side up

I supose you're right razorback, but what if the HBC is running under IOS36?

Are you saying his process should be:

• Install fresh IOS61
• Rerun HackMii installer, install the HBC

Regardless of softmod?

Fair enough.

yeah right HBC sometimes also uses ios36 so trucha patching ios36 will result to this upside down HBC. but reinstalling HBC will result for using ios61.

First off, start your own thread rather than resurrecting an 11-month-old one. Second, you're going to need to provide more information on your setup if you want any chance of getting any help. If nothing else, indicating what SM version you have will affect what exploits are available to you, giving you a starting point for fixing your issue. Third, next time ask around before formatting your NAND... that was just dumb...
