Hacking Homebrew Channel update Wiikey 1 not working

I have just updated the Homebrew channel to its latest version but since I have done this my Wii will not read any back up dvd's in the dvd drive.

Original games will show up in the disc channel but back up's are now not recognised.

This means I cant get to update my wiikey at all with any version config disc.

Can the wiikey be flashed or updated via SD card?

Anyone else had this?

    I went to Vances gun store friday, to apply for concealed carry license, n guess in Ohio its legal, no permit needed anymore, kinda crazy. They just recommended I do a 2 day training course, but I've already done it before so will prob pass. I need to get me a shoulder holster tho, like a undercover agent.

    I stayed 2 weeks in San Diego w wife's family n we took trips to LA, San fran, what a nightmare that traffic was. Semi drivers cutting you off at 80mph was a norm. But yeah 5 lanes in still bumper to bumper traffic most time.
