On April 20, 1999, there was the high school tragedy in the United States. The school was Columbine High School in the state of Colorado (I can't remember which city is that school). About 15 people (12 students, 2 student gun shooters and 1 teacher) in that school were killed, including Rachel Joy Scott, which she worked there.

What do you think about Columbine High School tragedy and Rachel Scott? Does anyone remember?

My school rarely honors any type of tragedy. On 9/11, there was no moment of silence or anything. We continued along our day as usual. So I doubt that they will do this.

To be honest, Even though i do live in a country in asia.
We don't have any honors of a tragedy really. the only one i can remember was when i was 9 we had 1 minute of silence to respect those who died and lost homes in the New Orleans Hurricane.

    Other then that no.

we sometimes have day off for assassinated politicians, and war events.

mind you there are a lot here, 14th march being the most political day maybe here in lebanon; that day is always OFF...as in no school, uni, etc.

dnt even ask what's on the 14th of march...iv'e lived here for some time and i still haven't figured it out.

Columbine and VTech are both forgotten.
However, we do have a minute of silence for 9/11.

Nahh, we don't honor stuff like that. We only honor 9/11 with a moment of silence that only lasts like 5 seconds XD

Don't honor stuff like maybe because of the suspects, all were psychos. Come on we don't honor the Manson murders so why honor this. You honor heroes not villains that's the American way or so it seems.

First post of this topic updated. Don't talk about honuring events. Look at the first post of this topic.

Her father/brother/some sort of relative came to my school and talked to students. Supposedly, she was drawing some things that predicted her death, or something like that.

The only school tragedy that was serious to my schools were the Virginia Tech shootings. The whole school held hands and sung prayers and stuff. Yeah, I was in a Catholic school.

No tragedies in my Secndary School. And the only tragedy I can remember for my Primary School is during my graduation day when they lost their finest student [IMG].

I don't think theres anything we commemerate. Maybe our School Annivesary. But no tragedies.
