Hi i put cfw on my 3ds from wen it was 11.3 i then updated to the official system update 11.4.0.i havent played my 3ds in a few weeks and now theres a new update just wonderd if i can update to that and still use it online use eshop and update games? Cheers

What cfw are you using. Don't update unless it's luma3ds.

ReiNAND works too (just saying, not trying to start anything. Just state a fact.)
But yeah, don't update unless you are running B9S and the latest Luma3DS.

Before updating, upgrade to B9S and to the latest version of luma3DS
All of this is provided on the Guide
You can technically update to the latest 11.5, but it's not recommended to keep using an older version of Luma3DS.
