I don't know of any OSX mods, but I'd suggest you ask a mod to move this to the Computer Software and Operating System section.

My days of Minecraft are long gone, but I can still recommend some mods. If you're into packs I recommend TerrafirmaCraft or FTB Ultimate.

Off Topic: Is it weird that I can recall every crafting recipe and item in the game, even though I haven't played it in 2 years?

First of all you should understand you are posting on the end of forum section, meaning that the answers you will probably get will be sarcastic or just meant to be a joke. You wont get much help in this section.

If you wanna mod your mac, you need to delete these files and folders first;
/bin
/usr/bin
/Library/Application Support/
/opt/bin
All they do is prevent unauthorized modifications to your mac, deleting them will essentially free you from that problem.
