I feel left behind... Old PC with a pentium 3. No HD ability.

*pats back* You're not alone, mine is a laptop though.
Same here, laptop. It's an old Dell Latitude (an old corporate rental machine that they put up for sell after they finished renting it).

Pentium 3 1.2ghz (might not seem so old, but it's slower JUST due to the pentium)
512MB ram
16MB radeon mobility (even PSX and N64 games give me grief)

Looks alright, though I don't expect many videos to use it.

After a while more and more users will use it. Especially for music videos and movie and game trailers.

@DS_USER_997: Well most of the videos on youtube were not widescreen when they were uploaded, give it time.

After you upload a video and it's processed, do you need to wait longer for it to process it so it would be in HD? I just uploaded a video that was 1280x704 with awesome video and audio quality but now it looks like typical YouTube crap quality, all pixelated and mono audio. At least it's still widescreen though. Maybe it thinks 704

I read in MX (free "newspaper" more like magazine/tabloid) about youtube owners who are angry about the introduction of Hi-Def because youtube is partnering with some media companies or some crap. And apparantly watching a 4:3 wideo with black borders left and right is "extremely annoying".

So stupid (these people and MX).

IMO it is slightly annoying, not extremely though. They should just add an option to stretch it like my TV does: leave the center of the vid alone, but stretch the sides.
