These tend to be fairly okay. Button response is not as good, and it doesn't give the same kinda grip as an original, but if it's the only affordable choice, go with it.

i can tell you right now no, the d-pad on those is worse than a 360's you should go to gamestop and get one of there GS branded one's , they are made by pelican they aren't half as bad as the one you linked to i got one from wall mart a while back that came with the controller (pelican branded)and a memory card, says game stop on the bottom of the controller and is the same exact design as theirs.
that said it's better if possible to get a original GC controller.

Dude I can go into my local second hand shop and pick up a gamecube controller for 99p ($1.80 odd) ok its used but its still works perfectly fine and you can never beat the original controller, i would say check out your local thrift stores

    I would second to that.

You can get original gamecube controllers priced a lot less.
Original one's quality is pretty good and like said the one you posted seems like a generic one. You are bound to have issues with those.

that's the one i have, but it's white say's pelican on the front and i got it at walmart as mention before pretty decent IMO not as good as a Original but it gets the job done.
like the 2 above said even if you don't like the idea of used ones, some i have seen are in like new condition check local pawn shops and thrift stores for some used original controllers before you jump on the GS generic controller.

The official one has by far been the best in my opinion.
