The song is awful but she scrubbed up nicely for the video. I always thought she was a bit of an uggo before I saw that.
So, she used to be a teeny pop-rock thing, but now she "grew up", now she's "more mature", now she does "adult stuff". How come that irritating song sounds like a 12-year-old made it (for other 12-year-olds)? I've heard better songs on the "Children's Eurovision".
ugh, my ears, just had that part you wrote play in my head... now my ears are bleeding. My wife likes that song though, but really Avril Lavigne is crap.
avril lavigne has gone to crap now! she's less emo i think. that song is annoying...me and my mexican friend did an interpretive dance to "complicated"...and it was hilarious. I was a prep and he was adlibbing the words.
No idea what you are talking about, please YouTube! I liked Avril Lavigne in the past. No idea what she is doing at the moment, though.
10/10 points for the "teen rock groupie" outfit, -2/10 for the infantile lyrics, recycled music and overall "pre-teeny" feel. Meh.
The song is really bad but at the same time pretty catchy. >_> I remember first hearing it when Burnout Dominator came out in the US which was like a good month before the album hit over here, I had the album on as custom music for Excite Truck (it's seems to fit quite well and hey anything is better than the default music) and there are some half decent tracks like Innocence, Everything Back but You and Contagious on there. Girlfriend (the song!) is starting to grate a bit now after hearing it in the media so much but like I say it is kinda catchy, ugh. >_
I've heard it waaay before Dominator. I don't hate Lavigne, but I do think that song is one of the dumbest ever! Still, it IS pretty catchy.
Avril is getting old, trying to appear younger... The song is ok but in the end the guy should have kicked her arse and gone with his cute redhead.
