Hacking Hermes Ios 222/223

I'm trying to install Ios 222/223, I've followed the offline installation instructions , but when I try to install , it still tries to connect via wireless .

can this be done without connecting using wireless?

what offline instructions exactly?
are you sure you put the correct things on the SD card?
