Hacking Hermes 222/223 36/37/38

I have read a heap on heremes 222/223, is there a correct way to install, some say merge 36 & 37 others say 36 & 38
Would this be the best
222 36 default
223 36 & 38

Also whats 37 used for ?

And can i install this after cIOS 38 Rev14, or is there no point

I believe picking different ones can alter certain game compatibility, but I'm not very sure other than that as I just picked the default option.

I personally have it side by side with cIOSrev14 so I can have Brawl working as well as having new cIOS features.

Ok, here's what I use BUT here's why I use it.

I install the IOS36 based 202 for homebrew (It's to my understanding that this is the best all-around anyway so it was a no-brainer)

I then did a 36+38 merged IOS 222 to add that IOS38 compatibility in there in case some newer games give me shit (since I use Waninkoko's IOS 249 rev10 which is based off 36 and anything from 11+ which are 38 based have given me issues, I'm waiting for 15 before I update cIOS again)

I then did a merged IOS 36+37 for my IOS 223 for games like rockband to use USB devices in the second USB slot.

Any games I had trouble with randomly locking up from time to time was solved launching those few games from IOS 222.

Feel free to use this info to help someone else in the future.

EDIT: By the way, I'm running 3.2 with added IOSes 16, 53, 55, 60 and whatever else WiiSportsResort Retail installs when launched from GeckoOS

Well, I got my answer there, so that's why I linked you there:

No problems, it runs fine. I can realy say that's the best combiantion. You shurly need 36 with 37, you can discuss about the other, I'm happy with 36 and 38, because Wanin also uses 38 as a base. And it doesn't matter which IOS Slot you use to install...

Summary:

Install 36+37 + 36+38.

IOS 202 --> using IOS 36
IOS 222 --> using IOS 36
IOS 223 --> using IOS 37 merged with IOS 36

No 38 though ?
