Well buddy, in my city I know only one person who own 3DS and in my country I think not more than 20 active 3DS owner... Anyway buddy, thanks for reply...![]()
Dun worry buddy, I dun have wifi in my area, so it wont happen...Don't lose hope^^ You see the gateway team is really working hardmaybe you can rent the game online, or maybe in the future, we will be able to update the 3DS with a rom, who knows? Be optimistic and don't update your 3DS, because it may never happen.

sorry, to stop nand downgrades, that's likely impossible for nintendo to do without a hardware revision. how would you envision that would be possible, if you don't mind clarifying?

I for one am glad that the 3DS hacking scene has signs of life![]()
I don't know him, only what he said to me in the #3dsdev chat room, which is that he doesn't want to help to prevent piracy above 4.5. If that is not his true intentions, then I still say it is mine's.I love to see ppl without clue debating about how bad piracy is.
Just one note, i was with Neimod at Static, if you dont know what it was, jut google a bit and you will realize how absurd your statments are.
I miss those times with him and Lowang, what a couple ...
okay buddy...I don't have it too, lol.
Well I know in India, there are a lot of American games, maybe you could import or rent one from India. it may be cheaper than importing it from America... You could also try to import it from Hong-Kong, games are not so expensive there.
I hope gamefreak & intelligent systems help develop anti-piracy measures.
here are some ideas: create a modified crc table (hashed against the current fw & the nand contents the 3DS has, plus beggining and ending of current ROM map area -whitelisted and hardcoded-that always will be compared to any, - if any- thread that deals security tasks (like decrypting stuff), every 15 seconds. If such values aren't valid, say three or four times, 3DS closes the current game.

what happens if nintendo traces the exact memory area gateway uses as placeholder for patching? think of a counter-patch (ie, addresses holding something they shouldn't, or expected), say as any thread from on a game cart as part of the game's code (with a newer key)? The 3ds already have a NX bit as well as a read only flag. So no.
Great post about the details after all of the speculation (me included); welcome to Nintendo scene yifan_lu, endless pokemon-related hacking requests awaits you
So simple question. How big are the chances 5.0> are gonna be able to be downgraded or hacked?
