@8BitWonder That tweet means that the release could be sooner if the exploit is patched before the intended release date.

That doesn't mean TheFlow plans to release the exploit around december/next year only if it gets patched as implied above.
i wasn't making that up he said it months ago, but he did say that if the exploit is patched then he will release it

On that note we certainly agree. Sony is likely hard at work plugging any remaining holes there might be in their security.
Though even if a 3.67 or 3.68 retail kexploit were to drop, I'll go no further than 3.65. I love enso too much to let it go. :P

This is what really guts me. I was on 3.63 and had no clue that 3.67 would only be a temporary Henkaku. When I read that it would be patched up to 3.67, I went and updated my Vita and PSTV from 3.63 to 3.67, assuming that I would be fully ready when the time came. Now I find out that permanent hack will only work up to 3.65. Not cool for me.

Make it a lesson for the future, never update your consoles/handhelds if you're interested in homebrew.
No matter what others tell you nor what you assume.

You can still swap mainboards tho.
Plenty of 3.65 and possibly a few on 3.60 left.

Yup, this is definitely the case. I went to 3.67, because I was tired of being blocked from the store, not being able to sync trophies, not being able to download game patches and DLC, as well as playing physical games that I rightfully bought. When I heard I could update to 3.67 (which was the latest at the time and allowed me to remedy all the previously listed issues), I was ecstatic. I am not blaming anyone, but I wish it was said from the get go that 3.67 was only temporary Henkaku, not everything up to 3.67 will be patched and working!

Oh well, life lesson like you said. I am not updating my Switch above 4.1.0 because of this reason!

Enso is overrated, I mean its nice obviously but the exploit works just fine and quick without Enso and the Vita's standby time is ridiculous no enso on 3.67 really doesn't bother me.

Other thing to do is to get a second one for homebrew n what not.
