Hi guys,

I am just waiting on my SD card to come for my SD2Vita adapter. I don't have Henkaku Enzo at the moment and was wondering the best steps to take.

Currently i have Henkaku (probably version 10 or something similar) and an official PSvita 32GB memory card.

From what i've read i just need to install the enzo .vpk. Do i need to update my current Henkaku to the latest Henkaku before running the .vpk?

After ive installed enso i think i have to edit some file to force the vita to mount SD2Vita as the memory card.

After i've done that, is it then safe to sell my vita memory card? What would happen if i removed the SD card in the vita then turned it on?

Thanks in advance.

u can safely install enzo. u need to alter the config.txt on ur0 partition. u can remove the vita memory card once u have gamesd.skprx listed in the config.txt and the plugin in the ur0:tai or ur0:Plugin folder. the choice of where to put the plugin is up to u as long as it's reflected in the config.txt. it can be anywhere on ur0. delete the config.,txt on ux0 as well as the internal memory card if you're using a slim system. btw, I'm memory card less myself. no issues doing that. I actually sold both memory cards for my vita and pstv (using usbmc), and I've not had any problems. :)

Thank you so much! This is the exact information I was looking for.

Did enzo, all fantastic, SD card should come today or tomorrow so i'll setup the rest when that arrives. Though i just re-read your response and i was wondering what you mean by "delete the internal memory card", i am using a slim system. What will i need to do?

there may be an tai config.txt in imc. the only way to delete is with or without a memory card inserted. with sd2vita mounted as ux0, u won't be able to delete it. it's unlikely there's a config file there though, but it's best to delete if there is one. it might only be there if u installed henkaku without a memory card inserted. I personally didn't have one in there. it's just to prevent any issues. ur0 is the only place u want the config.txt and plugins since the tai folder there won't be messed with if u switch cards.

edit: what I mean by not being able to delete imc is that imc cannot be mounted while using sd2vita. it's either a bug with the driver or vita shell. I personally think vita shell needs to be updated since the same issue occurs with usbmc. this may only be if you're memory card less though which I am.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
