The second mode (if I remember correctly) is some kind of challenge mode.
1. Instant Game
2. Challenge?
3. Multiplayer (or with CPU)
4. ?
5. Game Settings
6. Back
Also, that's not a D. ;)

EDIT: I've been learning some Japanese, and the 4th mode starts with "Don Chan" who are the main characters of the game (and the sounds the drum makes).

thank you
what is challenge mode? whats the difference?

are you sure the yellow one is multiplayer? i tried it, the song selection screen is really diferent and before playing it shows lots of options, but a cpu doesnt play\appear (or i didnt activated..)

the 4th one (green) takes to a sub menu with customization; text messages and other stuff (i think also cutscenes)

i followed this video
but its from a old game, colour and text is different, so i thought the orange button was not challenge mode

yeah, i know thats not a D XD its the best way i can describe it xD

OK, I booted up my copy and figured it out.
1. Instant Game
2. Story-ish
3. Challenge
4. Text messages (and such)
5. Game Settings
6. Back

It's different for different versions. I was basing the first post on the 5th game.

EDIT: Whoops, I booted up the third game, not yours (4th). Lemme boot the other.
EDIT2: It looks like it's different for every game. I'm translating the menus as I type.

EDIT3:
Here it is:
1. Instant Game
2. Training
3. Story mode (just a bunch of challenges)
4. Customization (and such) [A direct translation might be "Don-Chan's Treasures"]
5. Game Settings
6. Back

Sadly, no.
Don't count on it, but I may just do it myself (depending on its difficulty). If I do, I'll be sure to post it on GBATemp.

happily the games can be played by someone who can't read.
and menus (specially the main one) have colours on the buttons which is not hard to remember what each thing does

thank you for your help

No problem! I was happy to help!
Plus, it gave me a chance to apply the Japanese I'm learning. :yay:
