Homebrew Help with Luma3ds, retroarch GPSP emualtor won't open

I recently upgraded from rxtools to Luma3ds, tried open GPSP to play a game. It got past the 3ds loading screen but then was just black and says: An error has occurred, forcing the software to close.

I already researched this and said to install a AGB FIRM cia, which I did, however it still didn't work.
Any insight as to what might be wrong and how to fix it?

If it matters I installed a GPSP cia

What version of GPSP are you using? If it's a Nightly, test to see if a stable 1.3.4 GPSP CIA works.
As for AGB_FIRM, that isn't involved in GPSP. Patching AGB_FIRM is only for installing modified GBA CIAs, not GBA Emulator CIAs. I believe Luma patches AGB_FIRM too.

Try the most current version of Luma. If you're on the latest 3DS system menu updating Luma might fix this for you. Nintendo blocked what GPSP was doing to get the access it needed for it's dynamic recompilier, the undid what Nintendo fixed in the most current Luma version.

For some reason now, GPSP won't even open. It loads the 3ds screen thing, then just goes back to the home menu

seriously? It takes less than 20 seconds to find on Google. gba_bios.bin is what you are looking for lel.

I found it. Yes I searched and searched but for some reason just couldn't find anything. Of course it was in the one place I should have looked first.

actually what fixed it for me is switching to a9lh
