Is there a concrete list about which bundle wii u are on that firmware or below it? I am planning to buy it tomorrow, but need a reference like serialnumber so i can check before i buy it.

you can buy any wiiu and update to last fw 5.5.1

5.5.1 is latest so any console will have 5.5.1 or below out of the box.

Like others have said 5.5.1 is the latest, so update it, if it's on anything lower, so there is no reason to check serials.
