The browser exploit won’t work and mset9 also seems to not work for me. I thin my console might be patched, I’ve tried the other ones before. Not even ntrboot wants to work. I even sometimes use 3ds hacks guide as well.A browser exploit or MSET9 will still work. Please use 3ds.hacks.guide only and avoid YouTubers ripping off the guide to make quick advertising money.
My flashcard is not listed in ntrboot flasher and I think it’s ace3ds x (even tho it has no 3ds or ds mode) and just crashes the flasher when choosing the “(something) family” option and I think I might have an unmoddable 3ds.As long as the hardware is okay, ntrboot will work. Sometimes it is tricky to pull it off and failure can have many(!) reasons all with the same outcome → makes troubleshooting hard.
Some of these are easy to rule out, some not.
- File system corruption
- Missing or damaged boot.firm
- Wrongly named boot.firm.firm (thanks, MS Windows)
- Bad SD
- Bad SD reader
- Ntrboot cart not flashed correctly
- Ntrboot cart not making good contact to cart reader
- Bad cart reader
- Magnet to weak or wrongly placed
- Magnet slipping a little while pressing the buttons
- Holding buttons not the correct amount of time
For the rare case of a development/Panda unit you'll need to flash a different ntrboothax.
Now that I think about the magnets bit in the spoiler, I actually Have some strong magnets somewhere. My flashcard is not listed in ntrboot flasher and I think it’s ace3ds x (even tho it has no 3ds or ds mode) and just crashes the flasher when choosing the “(something) family” option and I think I might have an unmoddable 3ds.
I tried the main one the 3ds hacks guide has for the new 3ds/new 3ds xl on latest firmware (super-skaterhax) but it won’t work for meUse MSET9 to mod your 3DS rather than follow outdated video guides, the guide that Kleines has linked is very straight forward and is more up-to-date. I'm sure you can do it on your own.
You clearly didn't read my memo. A more modern exploit like NTRBoot or MSET9 is a lot more stable compared to a browser exploit that from my testing has never been really successful on my end. Nobody is going to spoonfeed you step-by-step since they're straight forward to follow. And if you screw up, then you weren't paying any attention.I tried the main one the 3ds hacks guide has for the new 3ds/new 3ds xl on latest firmware (super-skaterhax) but it won’t work for me
I HAVE AND IT WONT WORKUse the recommended exploits as shown by the 3DS Hacks Guide and then it's done.
Did you follow the steps that I had advised you to do? There are SO MANY better ways as to how you can install custom firmware on your 3DS. Browser exploits are not worth it in my books, not because you end up with a small percentage of it actually working, but most of the time it will fail, they have not been used since Gateway. Hence why I have suggested to you two options; NTRBoot using a compatible flashcart, or, MSET9 by using the Mii Maker app.I HAVE AND IT WONT WORK
I have LITERALLY TRIED BOTH of those and they won’t work. Extra data with mset9 just freezes with the trigger thingy injected and ntrboot just seemingly doesn’t want to work for me.NTRBoot using a compatible flashcart, or, MSET9 by using the Mii Maker app.
What system firmware are you on? And have you updated?I have LITERALLY TRIED BOTH of those and they won’t work. Extra data with mset9 just freezes with the trigger thingy injected and ntrboot just seemingly doesn’t want to work for me.
11.17.0-50EWhat system firmware are you on? And have you updated?
And if you mean have I ever updated my 3ds, I don’t think I have, or if you mean have I ever updated from the current version, no.11.17.0-50E
I didnt miss any instructions thoughTested both of those out on my 3DS and they all seem to work fine w/o issues.
As I had predicted, you have more than likely missed out critical steps, as stated in the guide highlighted that you must follow every instruction without missing any, since these are very important.
Check if the SD card wasn't corrupted with h2testw, or find another card that does work with your console. It must be formatted to FAT32 32kb cluster and not something else like exFAT. If not, then I don't have much else to say.I didnt miss any instructions though
I use the card my console came with (i think it came with one atleast) and its fat32 (idk the cluster thingy tho, I’m on iPad rn)Check if the SD card wasn't corrupted with h2testw, or find another card that does work with your console. Should've used a computer, and not an iPad for formatting your SD card. Must be at least around 8GB or higher for custom firmware.I use the card my console came with (i think it came with one atleast) and its fat32 (idk the cluster thingy tho, I’m on iPad rn)

In the last year, I've homebrewed a New 2DS XL, a Japanese New 3DS, and a Japanese New 3DS LL, all with 11.17 firmware. Each one of them got a new Samsung 128GB SD card, formatted with SDFormatter and then guiformat. Every single one of them, I followed the current guide on 3ds.hacks.guide, carefully following each step in order. As I had predicted, you have more than likely missed out critical steps, as stated in the guide highlighted that you must follow every instruction without missing any, since these are very important.
