Hacking Help with homebrew channel

I just installed the homebrew channel in my wii and i'm trying to get the apps like wad manager installed but I can't. I load them, then a new screen appears and ask me to press A to install, but the wiiremote seems to stop working and there's nothing I can do, the screen freezes and I have to shut the wii off every time. What's wrong?
