ROM Hack Help with getting VC .cia game to play on emunand cakes cfw

Ok so i have emunand working, fbi cia installer working, i installed pokemon red but once i launch the game it sits on the 3ds screen. What am i missing, i seen references to a agb_firm patch but im new to this and am quite confused

go to the Nintendo Store go to Pokemon Reds store page, Scroll down to the bottom and Hit REPAIR

its that option under the title of the game itself or where, i looked under options and didn't see repair anywhere

Search for Pokemon Red on the Store, go to its actual PURCHASE page

ok ill have to check into it later where im at now the wifi is firewalling the eshop

Just visit the page of the game in the eShop and then simply launch the game again. It will work after that

ok it worked, but it begs a question, whats the point of .cia files and installing games if you have to basically re-download them from the eshop to get it "repaired"
