This installer can NOT continue!
There is no known vulnerable IOS installed on this Wii
Look for an updated version at: http://bootmii.org
If this is already the latest version... well, suck it

What are my chances for installing a homebrew channel on this Wii?

It has been updated to 4.2 with official nintendo updates.

I used bannerbomb 4.2 and the latest hackmii installer from bootmii, but I get the same message. Since I don't have HBC on this Wii, I used loadmii to run older versions of HBC, but it's not working either.

If I only could install HBC, I can downgrade then to any version and then use a firmware updater to install 4.1 system menu and then install modded mios and such.
Maybe the IOS 249 got ****** up with the nintendo update?

Any help or ideas on this one please?

Dont worry, you'll be fine because you can run bannerbomb.

You need to get TBR (trucha bug restorer) and follow instructions to get IOS 36 patched, or install IOS36v1042 using a different method. I'd go for TBR myself.

Here is a link to a guide that should help.

Have a look at the TBR steps involved, once IOS 36 is patched you can do a lot more, but you should then be able to get HBC installed.

EDIT: Tried without IOS in folder.
