Hacking Help with Basehaxx (PSS Conectinc problem)

Hello guys!
I managed to install a second entry point in a Omega Ruby for my 10.7 3ds. I was planning on downgrading, installing Menuhax etc, but.. Well, I can't connect to the PSS since it asks me to update, and I can't ask my friend to lend his 3ds again (which he uses OOTHax) to try anything else because he movie to Canada (not kidding). So..
How show I do to boot the payload? Is there any way I can conect to the PPS without updating? Am I on the wrong track here?

Yes, you have to try and rename your secret base team name to trigger the hax
