Every time I try to play a game, after a certain while, the screen will lock up and emit a constant buzzing noise. 2 different consoles, Wii U, and regular Wii. The regular Wii has d2x v6 (don't tell me to upgrade - any others don't work) and the Wii U has d2x v10 beta53. Could it be related to the fact that I'm using flash drives (hasn't done it before) or is it a cIOS problem / hardware problem? It's really annoying. Any help is appreciated.

It can be a flash drive. If you have the space on SD or a USB HDD with a y-cable I'd try that first.

I never had much luck with USB sticks.

Probably worth posting the syscheck as well.

Can't post the sysCheck because it freezes at ios 30 on both consoles but I've never had any problems with my USB stick. On the regular Wii, though, it happens way less often.

Let me guess, not using the latest(as of Nov 2015) Syscheck 2.4.x (currently x=0)

As stated before, try the new syscheck, as IOS30 doesn't exist on the WiiU

Hmm, try this one. Usually a freeze/buzz is what happens on a DSI stack dump, or the media was removed while attempting a read.

That's weird because mine never attempts to scan IOS30 on the WiiU.

If that doesn't work, perhaps @JoostinOnline can help you out by commenting out 30.

This is why I said to read changelog.

v2.3.0
  • Added a new argument --skipIOS, which lets you skip any specific IOS in the scan. This is useful for freezes. Multiple arguments

Or for readers in the future, use forums search box with term skipios

 Still doesn't work on Wii U, but reinstalling d2x on my old Wii seemed to fix almost everything. I was really hoping to have the upscaling feature, but I'll have to stick with discs that aren't broken for that. Thanks for the help anyways.
