Hi.

OK. I have a lot to write. So here I go..

My status:
  • Wii with 4.1e
  • No Internet Connection
  • Have Homebrew Channel installed with NOTHING ELSE on it.

What I want to do:
I really want to play backup games.. I can download and use NeoGamma but I need to install the cIOS that NeoGamma requires.

Problem:
I want to play backup games but I need to install a cIOS for a Backup loader to work. I do not have INTERNET on my wii.

PLEASE HELP! SORRY IF I POSTED IN WRONG SECTION.

I burned a wii game with ImgBurn., But my computer cant read it.. is this normal?
Also Is it alright if I burn to a Verbitan DVD+R?

PLEASE HELP!

Yes your computer cannot read it, unless if you have a specific drive.
It's recommended to burn to DVD-Rs.

And follow the modify any wii guide. It's completely offline.

Search next time, Here's a picture for you.

Ever heard of Read Me's? Guess what, there's also one in the official cIOS Package! Please learn to search and read.

Because I'm nice:

Use Google for the required .wad, or NUS-Downloader. Read the rest in the Read Me.

Thats a totally different issue - u need to do a lot of research before you ask anyone anything else or turn your wii into an expensive paperweight

Read read read - try a few links in the sigs on the guides or use search for your error

As I've said in other posts before...follow xzxero's guide to modding any wii located here http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=171901 , follow it step by step and you will have you wii modded with all stud ios's removed and custom ios's installed....you just send an email to the address on the guide and you will be sent a file called "modify.zip" that you extract to your sd card and follow the guide. It's very easy to follow, anyone can do it.

Just go here full off line instructions http://usbloadergx.koureio.net/help/readmii

That guide says not to update and that it will delete all homebrew. which is technically true , but it is also possible to get homebrew back on after updating so i think that guide is a little behind the times if its not explaining that.

i hope that before you did anything you installed Bootmii and did a NAND backup .. we can see that you want to burn some steps (like do not want to search and read) so remember to do a NAND backup since you could f*** up your wii..

Lol - can you see my post count ??
I was one of the original testers for Waninkoko's stuff and i hosted the files for the beta/gamma loader for him on my server.
I set up the wiiboxart.com site to help hibern with his loader initially and host wadder.com and set up the initial site for them to help with the wadder project.
I started off the original stickied WII ISSUES AND ANSWERED page that helped thousands and i wrote the HOW TO guide for the original beta and gamma loaders.

Do you not think i know what im doing ?
I dont appreciate people swearing at me and if you check im helping the OP on here and not asking questions.

I still say that guide's heading in red is incorrect -

its very possible to update your wii to 4.2 and continue to install homebrew and any other software.
