Well, my BenQ drive went out and I tried to replace it with a Hitachi 0047 I have from another 360 with a bad motherboard.

I followed these seperate steps using the latest JungleFlasher 0.1.62 beta.

    1) Made sure Hitachi is stock firmware.
    2) Flashed it with Hitachi iXtreme 1.5.
    3) Inserted the key from the old BenQ drive into the Hitachi.
    4) Told JungleFlasher to spoof the Hitachi as a BenQ drive.

What happens is that the 360 will read original 360 games fine.
However, it will not read the backups I've made of these games. They are the exact same games that work with the original disk, but not the backup. And the backups worked before the BenQ went out.

Does anyone have any idea why it might be?
    Thanks in advance!

It sounds like you're just on a stock firmware. Here's the steps you should take:

    1) Go to the firmware tool tab in JungleFlasher (far left)
    2) Choose "Load Source Firmware" and choose your original stock BenQ firmware
    3) Choose "Load Target Firmware" and choose the Hitachi iXtreme file that matches your Hitachi drive revision
    4) Select "Spoof Source to Target".
    5) Make sure that the drive keys both match and that it spoofed correctly.
    6) Flash the Hitachi drive with the target firmware the same as you normally would.

If you do that, you shouldn't have any problems. Tell me how it goes.
