Hardware Help, Some sort of Brick.

My Wii will not let me fire all the way up sometimes. I Will Press the power button (on Wii or Wiimote) and it lites green but the health screen wont come up! I trie for about 15 to 20 time to get it to work. about the 21st time it works.
Sometimes it fires up no prob.
Is there a way to fix this?
BTW My Wii Makes Strange Sound when firing up. like its reading the dvd slot but nothings in? even when somethings in....

Please Help.

Mine makes the reading sound when it's empty too, but it runs just fine. What kind of stuff do you have installed?
