Hacking help needed with repaired wii

a m8 has had his dvd replaced on his modded wii

now his wii still has homebrew channel ect but it wont load any "backup"


also i softmodded it a while ago so i thought i would "upgrade softmod so he could play newer "backups" but now it wont -

1 when i run Run Trucha Bug Restorer
Choose IOS15 & press A. (Important)
Wait till it says Press 1 then press it.

it just puts a mem dump on screen then errors


2 i thought ok i will start all over again but

when i try to Run bannerbomb by going to the SD Card menu & choosing yes to load boot.dol/elf

wii just locks up


is this problem to do with the new drive installed ?

any help much appriciated

Most likely yes,

Nintendo probably replaced the drive with a newdrive - the ones that arent able to play DVDs

1) There a Trucha Bug restorer step before that one, did that step go correct?
And we call those Code dumps

2) Try another version of bannerbomb
