Gaming Help. My Wiimote wont turn on

For some reason my Wiimote won't turn on the Wii or anything. When I press any button on the wiimote, the blue lights just flash for a few seconds and thats it. I even tried to re-sync it and that doesnt work. The batteries are fresh and new. My brother was in here looking at the wiimote and pressing the buttons without the Wii being on. I dont know if he did anything to it or not. Is there a "lock" mode on the wiimote or something? I'm trying everything and it's not working.

I've had a lot of problems syncing up my wiimotes after unsyncing them. I'm pretty sure that I solved my problem by following the steps outlined in this page to the letter:

Ok I got it working again. I don't know how but I did. Thanks for that link.
