Hacking Help! My R4 may not be of use anymore!

My R4 is dying.

I removed the spring cuz my lock busted and I had to put tape over it, and it became a pain. Now I also have a little tab of electrician tape attached to the top, so I can pull it out without having to use tweezers. And when it doesn't sit flush, the screen either says SD/TF card not found or nothing happens. When I can get it to work, sometimes when I put it in my pocket the SD jiggles and the thing freezes. Now I have to carry around an EZPass to boot up my EZF IV just in case it doesn't read.

Any advice? I love my R4, and it has all my favourite games on there. I want to be able to not be afraid of freezing, and also make sure that it can be read every time.

Ouch seems bad man.. maybe there should be a online shop that takes broken R4 Cards as trades then give everyone a fresh *new* R4DS for a cheap price ...should be $15+ shipping lol

Did you try removing the tape?

The tape's on the tip of the SD, not touching anything like the contacts. I tried it without the tape already. Same result.

Maybe its a MicroSD problem and not your R4...

What led you to the conclusion that it was your R4?

Your MicroSD may be dying.. See if all the files are intact via Computer.

Get a new Micro SD. The contacts may be worn out from constantly going in and out of your R4.

YOU CAN'T TELL HIM TO SPEND MONEY JUST LIKE THAT!! O.o


First backup all your games , Then format the SD Card , And try it agian , But don't put all you'r games this time , Just the system data.
