OK.. I am using a hiksemi 32GB flash drive
Model HS-USB-M200R
Interface USB 2.0
Capacity 8GB/16GB/32GB/64GB
Maximum reading speed 15-30MB/s
Maximum write speed 3-15MB/s

storage temperature -25~70℃
SORRY FOR THE LONG DISCUSSION IN ADVANCE
IF HIKSEMI IS A BAD FLASH DRIVE, PLEASE READ THE END NOTES INSTEAD AS I ASKED REGARDING OF BUYING AN SD CARD AND SUGGESTED IF THEY ARE GOOD.
THANK YOU
I have an 8gb flash drive with a reese's logo and luckily it works great but I want to upgrade and I had this hiksemi drive at hand without paying so why not
I am also using a microsoft windows 10 home single language for my computer
I also found similar but different problems found in this forum so I thought you all might be able to help
I was able to play my wii games in the flash drive before but when I plugged in the obscure things got haywire. either the obscure did it or the xenoblade or maybe the flash drive gave up on xenoblade.
I use a flash drive for the games, and the softmod files in a 2gb ridata sd card
I use my flash drive for wii dumped games for my console. Unfortunately, something occurred. Before I was experiencing this problem, I was able to transfer large files but when I transferred a new game, something finally happened, I was able to use 22GB of the storage but when I did this one, something happened. SHA-1 and MD5 Hashes failed and did not pass, I noticed that all my files as well, failed although before, they were alright and working but now it's not anymore.
I did follow a lot of steps to fix my flash drive, as of course, it got corrupted.
I did go to command prompt as an admin and did the chkdsk G: /f/ r/ x
I did reformat my flash drive and I didn't change the FAT32 to anything and made it as is as WII only support FAT32 disk format
I did /scannow in cmd
I did the diskpart solution in cmd
I reinstalled, update, and uninstalled drivers for the flash drives, and also the usb ports BUT!!! the flash drive, I wasn't able to look for its drivers online so what I only did try is the uninstall and update by searching automatically for drivers.
also did the properties and tried to scan and repair the drives
also uncheck the part where the usb port will turn off the device to save power
did go to control panel to power options to change in advanced settings to select usb to enable
switched to a different pc/ laptop to see if same problem occur and I also forgot to mention that there was an error 0x800701B1
although I did fix to reformat it and it didn't occur again but will likely happen again if I transfer large files.
I did try to add one game which has 300+ mb and it worked but when I add like a gigabyte sized game, stuff became a problem again
and also my flash drive will disconnect randomly or right away while transferring a large file.
I even scanned the flash drive using the windows virus protection to see if I got malware and luckily no malware.
but unluckily, still the same problem.
I am feeling frustrated with this and I have only a few Ideas left. Either the flash drive can't handle wii games or in the .wbfs file format and damaged it, OR I am completely a goner and I won't be able to use it anymore for large files which is a bummer as most files that I have and require are large
(I DON'T NEED TO RECOVER THE FILES AS I HAVE BACKUPS)
ALSO JUST WANTED TO ADD 2 THINGS as I was planning on buying sd/micro sd as I dont have the money for ssd/hdd/external hard drive,
can I use Sandisk Ultra Micro SDHC 32GB while using a kingston adapter to sd card or a usb adapter or does it have problems
and this other one I really wanted to buy but not really sure as the compatibility list
preferably, should I buy the Sandisk Ultra SDHC Class 10 UHS-I 32GB Memory Card
and I also wonder if i should get the 64gb instead of the 32gb of this, I'm scared that It might fail
This is not my first rodeo with a flash drive that won't work but I've had enough so I had to ask
P.S. MY WII IS NOT THE PROBLEM AS THE GAMES WORK WHEN SHA-1 and MD5 pass in wii backup manager
