Homebrew (HELP!) micro SD management not working after updating windows 10 to latest version!

even though i have an ftp client i need to know how to make micro SD management work after updating to windows 10 October update! anyone know a fix? someone who knows should reply.

thats what i did before and after updating windows it no longer works

The 3DS's SMB stack is some rather terrible code, so I'm not surprised that a Win10 update broke it, even if you have SMBv1 enabled.

In particular, it uses NetBIOS ports 137-139, rather than the newer port 445 implementation.

Your best bet is to either use an FTP server instead of MicroSD management, or set up a Windows XP or 7 VM. Granted, setting up a Windows VM just for file transfer is a bit overkill...

Micro SD Card Management is (at least in my experience) the slowest method anyways. I recommend FTP too.

As stated before, use FTP. MicroSD management is terrible and slow, and FTP is superior in every way.
