    sps files are gameshark saves.

    Find the matching rom and open it in VBA.

    Hit file -> import -> gameshark save/snapshot.
    play and save normally.
    hit file -> export -> battery file

    Let me look at it. I have a bit actually manually extracting the battery file out of it so that it will work. Does someone know the save type that it is using. This would be mostly the size but if you know the type then I can guess the size.

    Ok. This game uses a 1024Kbit (128KB) FLASH memory but the save file you pointed to is only 68KB (64 + SharkPort Save header and 4 end bytes). I've extracted the save (battery data) manually and checked it with a patched Pokemon Emerald backup file in VBA and it was able to import the battery file into it successfully. This should be useful in whatever setup you have going. Please note that the game complained that the save data was corrupted and it was going to use the last save so I don't know what happened exactly however it does show one save that has almost 160 hours of playtime on it.

    P.S. - The patched file was done using the ips that was included when I went to download the game and tested this. It only corrects issues that prevent the game from loading in an emulator like VBA.
