Do u know 'Setting Replace.dol'?

I use this program to my friend's wii.

and... I got 'setting.txt'.

I use 'setting.txt' my wii....

.... Now.... My wii and Friend's wii has same SERIAL NUMBER!!!! oh god!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Changing the serial number of your wii WONT DO ANYTHING, just leave it at that. Plus i doubt that you can change the serial number.

Would be easier to change a 5 to an 8, or a 7 to a 9... maybe even a 1 to a 7...

Notepad won't work you gotta use wordpad cause it has the Wii serial number font

I use UltraEdit

and I find that Serial where is~

also I find pattern to change serial that I want

so... I got back my original serial number 'LJF XXXX XXXX X'

Now, I gonna try do something FUN!

Okay i'll tell you how to do this.

STEP 1:
If you have your wii box get it and put it underneath your pillow.

STEP 2:
Add a penny underneath your pillow then go to bed and sleep at night and wait for Nintendo services to snatch it an replace it.

STEP 3:
Wake up and you will find a non-lu64 wii under your pillow.
If this doesn't work just An Hero already...

In all seriousness here.

I believe maybe what he is wanting to do is have a different console ID to get around possibly some online banning or similar.

Now I believe I've read several times where the Wii can generate something like 4 different console IDs or sort.
And I thought this was accomplished through the FORMAT option. DONT RUSH OFF AND DO IT!
So that after a format if you open and register your mail/messaging system It will be a different code than before the format. Seems to me I remember that it would only generate 3 or 4 different codes though.

I'm also pretty sure that I read it on GBATemp so search here for that info.

and WARNING!, a FORMAT can screw things up if you have certain utilies installed. Read up on all of this before you attempt it. I'm just throwing this out there because I remember reading stuff about it.
