Hello, i need help picking out a new flash cart.
See, i have a G6DS REAL (8Gb) and a games n' music.
I use the use the G6 as a rom cart and the games n' music as a homebrew cart.
Sadly, the games n' music's micro SD slot broke, and now the micro SD will not stay in it, i think the spring broke.
So i want to know what you guys think is a good cart for about $40.

I was thinking of either a R4 or M3 simply but is there any difference between the two. I plan on using the same micro SD i was using before (sandisk 2GB) for them. I might even get a slot 2 cart if there is one that uses Micro SD cards and is good at running ds homebrew.

Or is there another cheap cart out there that is really good with homebrew.

THanks alot

(P.S: i have an original (fat) ds)

Well I know the cyclods is one of the best rated carts on gbatemp atm, it has auto DLDI patching and everything. You cant go wrong with it.

There's not much difference between the two flashcards, except that the r4 Firmware updates come out faster than the m3 simply's. If you don't want SDHC support, then go with the R4. It's cheap, and easy to use and, of course, has auto DLDI patching.

THank you all for your help.
I can't get a cycloDS evo because it is a little over my price limit or out of stock (at the stores i have found anyways)
So i might get the basic bundle of the M3 REAL (since the GBA pack does not work with the fat DS)
Or and R4.
I kinda like the M3 Real because it looks and feels like my G6 real
but i hate how your homebrew has to be in the root for it to auto patch.

Either way, I ended up getting a M3 REAL because i like the G6 real so much.

The M3 Real's homebrew support is the same as the G6 Real. I would recommend the Supercard DS One. It's the same price as the R4 and has more features (RTS) and has SDHC support.

Have to echo these comments !

Although I did go for the Cyclo DS Evolution as it was the highest rated and apart from the DoA issues I think its the best one out there !

The CycloDS Evo also has a Micro SDHC card slot with no spring ! So nothing to go wrong there ! ... not sure bout the SCone

That idea always freaked me out, that if you don't let go of the ball at exactly the right point it would break your fingers. Then I found out the holes are wider than that. Lemme tell you, that was a relief.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I bowl with a finger tip ball, so thumb goes all the way in, but two top holes only finger tips go in, gives you more spin/ action.

    @BigOnYa

With the PS3. I saw some games taken down from my usual site I go to .

I tried other sites. Some ISO's were encrypted.

So it was a bit of having to figure out how to decrypt them, as well as transfer them.

Previously I only transferred JB folders.

I transferred the ISO's from an NTFS drive on IRISHMAN.

Irishman seems great since it can launch NTFS games from USB on the PS3.
