Hey everybody.

I am trying to choose what card(s) to get.

I have a GBM, and a DSL.

I would like to play GBA games, and DS backups on my ds.

I was looking at the iPlayer, but tinycartridge.com said that it can't play DS games.
Can it? Is there a way to make it do so?

If not, I was also looking at the R4-SDHC or the M3 real, with a dust cover sized expansion pack.
With these expansions, do they save the GBA saves on the expansion pack, or on the SD card?
Are these just reverse pass-me's?

I was looking at the EZ Flash IV for the GBA.

Are there any SD-using GBA sized cards for cheaper?

Thanks for helping a noob.

Going for R4 is the stupidest thing one can do, so do yourself a favor and stay away from R4. They're all clones.

For playing DS backups GBA games I'd recommend the Acekard2.1 paired up with the EZ Flash 3 in 1. Acekard is around $15 and the 3in1 is around $17-$25. These two carts complement each other very well as the AKAIO firmware strongly supports it.

The EZ Flash IV is kind of... underwhelming when compared with other flashcarts out in the market so forget about that one.

I heard the DSOne also supports GBA ROM emulation despite being a 1-slot card.

Like what?
I need examples.

I have looked around, but I don't know what still/is not still sold anywhere.

Thats why I asked you.

EDIT:
Ater reading quite a lot of threads, I am even more confused.
I can not find any GBA sized carts, that I can still buy that are not the EZ Flash IV.

Also, does the 3 in 1 save the games to the SD card in the slot 1 cart, or into the internal memory on the 3 in 1 that goes away if the battery dies?

Fix'd. The 3in1 saves to the SRAM which depends on the battery. AKAIO has the option to autoatically get the save from the SRAM and put it back on the MSD upon startup. If you flash to the 3in1's NOR it can act as a real cart which means compatability. You can get GBA sized 3in1s.

adding even more:

GBA sized 3 in 1 carts are really rare.

also cycloDS supports 3in1 highly but price talks... I even myself would say "if you get acekard for 15 bucks, why spend 45 on other product that would be slightly better/as good?"

yeah.

I would suggest you purchase the M3 DS Real Perfect Bundle:
Best looking firmware with the most features(M3 Sakura Firmware)
Has best GBA Support
Free Rumble and Expansion Pack
Team supports the cart very well so bugs are fixed very qick
Has all the nifty features like RTS,RTG etc.
You will love it

What do you mean by supporting it more highly?
(also, thanks for responding)
I believe JereTHEend means that the CycloDS is almost fully compatible with the 3in1.

No... the R4 is NOT good.

What is "k"-ing?
I would search, but a one-char search wont help.

I'm pretty sure K is short for Okay.

The CycloDS Evolution automatically copies the save stored on the internal memory on the 3in1 to the SD card. It cannot however do this if the battery dies.

Personally I'd recommend a CycloDS Evolution and a EZ Flash 3in1.

You can buy a GBA sized 3in1 here: http://www.realhotstuff.com/expansion-pack-size-p-212.html

Can the acekard coppy the SRAM to the sd?
Is it harder to do than with the cyclo?

I'm not looking to go for the biggest or the best, just somthing that works.
It sounds like the DStwo, when it comes out, will replace whatever I get now...

I just want to be shure...

Yes it can, you can easily set it so that it prompts you to back up the save upon start up. Basically you just save in-game and power off your sysytem and next time you boot up the Acekard it will say "Back up filename.sav?" and you hit A or B depending if you want to or not.

You can still buy them new from sites like RHS. Rare shit is that.

This person is either mentally challenged, or is winding you up.

If you want GBA I'd probably just wait for the SuperCard DS 2, which is going to be able to emulate GBA (and SNES!) like the iPlayer, but it will run commercial ROMs too.

And probably drain your power out faster than power stealing triple cunted hooker.

Just saying, for having that there is a trade off, just saying...
