    Hello there, people.
I have been considering to purchase a M3 DS Simply here:
    http://www.gameyeeeah.com/product_info.php...ucts_id=198{2}1

But, I have heard that there is a Chinese and an English version of this flashcard.
Does anyone know if it's the Chinese or English version that Gameyeeeah sells?

And, if it is the Chinese version, is it actually the same as English so I can update
it with a English firmware update? Is the packaging it comes with different?
I hope I can get the English version! I'll be thankful if you can answer me.

They sell the English version, but you should buy the R4 DS:http://www.gameyeeeah.com/r4-ds-revolution...pter-p-190.html
It's exactly the same product, but has a different name, and its also cheaper.

Looks like English version, doesn't hurt to ask them to double check though. Also you cannot update Chinese versions with English firmware and vice versa.

chinese / english switch is done with a jumper (on printed ciruit board (pcb)).
again AFAIK: the latest releases of the pcb are missing this jumper.
    New packages contains no longer a second cart-shell; key-chain is replaced by a wrist-strap;
the earlier buggy TF-reader is replaced; the box is redesigned.

EDIT: Sorry, seems to be a tripple post... was just typing in my text - in compete with "the others" asslacker55 and tama_mog...

i think i heard that you can swap between the 2 versions through some soldering hack or something.

    Thanks for replies.
There is one more thing. I can't decide between M3 and R4.
I know the R4 is cheaper, and the same product, but 5 bucks is nothing. I wonder, the only reason I can't decide is because of the firmware. Is the firmware exactly the same in these, and what about the updating? Can I use R4 firmware on M3 and vice-versa?
Also, in this picture, it looks like there is slight difference between the carts: http://www.moddz.com/uploads/m3dssimplyreview4.jpg
The important thing for me is, that I am not missing out on ANYTHING (except 5$ difference) if I decide to buy the M3. If not, then I will go for it [IMG]

Since the $5 difference doesn't matter, just get one that matches your DS Lite's colour...

Black, go with M3, and White or Pink, go with R4 [IMG]

The newer M3 DS Simply's only come with one shell (not two like the previous ones), to cut down on costs.

I have a black DS lite. Does the new M3 come with black/gray shell?

you have to specify color now from wherever you order, but before it was sold with a black and a white case. Firwmares between r4 and m3 are identical, similar release dates for the firmwares as well.

Why don't you just directly email them. I'm pretty sure you will get an accurate answer that way.

hopefully u didnt order from gameyeeeah.com
they have given me so many problems.
i reccommend u look elsewhere seems they take FOREVER
and their payment system is dumb because they post your tracking # in a public forum
save ur self some time and buy somewhere else
    realhotstuff.com or somewhere
