Hi, I've been trying to download some cia gba games on my 3ds. I've searched around and read a bunch of threads, however none have given me a clear answer on this topic. For reference I'm using a New3ds with Luma3ds on it and EmuNand 10.7 and SysNand 9.2.

1. Do I need to have the modified AGB_Firm file to play the games? I've heard a couple people say that Luma3ds patches the file automatically, but can someone confirm this?
2. Do I need to have the cia file downloaded on both SysNand and EmuNand. Again I've heard people say you do and others say you don't.
3. If I do need it installed on SysNand how would I go about doing that? Would I need to get FBI on my SysNand or is there a way to download a file to SysNand from EmuNand?
4. Last question and somewhat unrelated, but I'm having issues using homebrew launcher after getting Luma3ds. I assume this is because I had to modify the boot.3dsx file when setting it up. When I try to launch homebrew it partially loads but gets stuck with the red screen at the bottom. I tried putting a new boot.3dsx file in the root of my sd card, but then it got stuck when I turned on my 3ds. Is there a way to get around this?

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

1. Yes, Luma patches it automatically
2. Yes, you do
3. Open minipasta in sysnand, then boot back into the HBL (still in sysnand) and install the cia with the 3dsx of FBI
4. Install the homebrew launcher cia https://github.com/yellows8/hblauncher_loader/releases
Thanks for the reply! I actually did install the HBL cia and that's where I'm having difficulty loading it.

EDIT: Also after I install the game I can play it through EmuNand right? I don't have to go into SysNand to play it?

You can use both. Installing to EmuNAND is optional and only adds the ability to launch from EmuNAND. This is because the 3DS reboots when starting GBA games.

Alright so I just downloaded 3 games to my SysNand through FBI in SysNand, however when I turned off my system after installing and then turned it back on the 3 games appeared for a second on the home menu and then dissappeared. Did I do something wrong? (I'm suppose to switch destination to NAND in FBI when installing right? Or do I keep it in SD)

  • x65943 @ x65943:
If your throat closes, putting oxygen in your mouth will not solve anything - as you will be introducing oxygen prior to the area of obstruction
  • JuanMena @ JuanMena:
    Just kiss me Kyle.
  • x65943 @ x65943:
You either need to be intubated to bypass obstruction or create a stoma inferior to the the area of obstruction to survive
  • x65943 @ x65943:
"Just kiss me Kyle." And I thought all the godreborn gay stuff was a smear campaign

It was waiting for you to order another one.
Seems like, your PSU was waiting for a partner.
  • JuanMena @ JuanMena:
    Keep them both
separated or you'll have more PSUs each year.
  • K3N1 @ K3N1:
Well one you insert one PSU into the other one you get power
