Homebrew [Help] Getting GBA4iOS savestate to work on gpSP(3DS)

I got the savefile and savestate from my broken iPod, I renamed the savestate(pkmnsapphire.svs) to sapphire.state5 and put it in the retroarch savestates folder. When loading the state it didn't work. I read that gpSP and GBA4iOS use the same savestate format online. Anyone have any ideas?
