I plan to, sadly it skips the whole fact that many ribbon cables need to be removed carefully and the analog stick as well to get to the underside of the board to access the solder points

Just don't open a ribbon connector too much and you will be fine. some connector can not open too wide or it will not tight enough to hold a ribbon in place later on.

This is super helpful thanks, hopefully my a9hl will go well enough to here I won't need to , but I have the tools and parts from my old3dsxl hard mod ready to go just incase
