Help connecting to LAN

I'm trying to set up a LAN party for Mario Kart Double Dash!! using Nintendont's BBA emulation, and connecting to my LAN was easy on Dolphin, Wii U and MacBook, but connecting to the LAN seems impossible on my Wii. I bought the UGREEN ethernet adapter and it isn't working for me either.

For context, I'm trying to use a spare router (though I plan to upgrade to an 8 port LAN switch) from my closet that isn't connected to the internet. It was able to work for everything else, but my Wii keeps giving me error codes. Wirelessly, it gives me error 52130, and over the ethernet connection it gives me 52121. Resetting my router hasn't done anything. Is this a DNS setting thing?

Any help would be great, I can't find any information online about trying to connect a Wii to a LAN network without internet.

SOLVED!!! it was as simple as changing the "Network Profile" setting in Nintendont

Omitting the internet function is hard.
Have you looked into Brostrend brand ? I hear it's better than the one you got.
Never had the need to go down that path.

i cant seem to find anything that solves this issue, so im just gonna run a LAN hub through a router than can connect to wifi
