So I'm trying to remove fog barriers and Stormveil Castle entry obstacles. I am using Modded Warfare patch builder to make custom patch, I extracted "asset\aeg\aeg218\aeg218_055.geombnd.dcx & aeg218_055_l.geomhkxbnd.dcx" files and replaced them to empty files with exact same name, then I edited eboot.bin file so fog walls will disappear. On the build step app output an error, this is what was in log file:

[ Debug ] 2021-12-31 20:49:51 Create image Process started.
[ Debug ] nptitle.dat: NP Title file.
[ Error ] Publishing Tools Version must be equal to or larger than 3.87 (=app pkg's value).
[ Error ] 2021-12-31 20:49:52 Create image Process finished with error(s).

And I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong, or it's just an app issue.

I've never seen that error before. what did you use to edit the eboot? could try liborbispkg and see if it will create a package.

https://github.com/maxton/LibOrbisPkg this is okay as it doesn't contain any sony code. iirc, you need either a certain .net version or .net core version depending on which one you use. think the .net core uses 3.1, but I forgot what .net the normal one uses. use the pkg editor, I think is what it's called. this is what devs use for their projects, they don't normally use orbis, as this is part of the unofficial sdk.

I am using HxD, and I also edited an eboot file, but I did it with PS4 Cheater so it's was only in RAM, not in the files.
I will try liborbispkg app right now and response ASAP.

I think you might have to fself the file yourself, because afaik, liborbispkg won't reencrypt, unless you already did that. what's normally used is make_fself.bat.

I extracted full game using liborbispkg and tried to pack it via fake pkg tools (orbis) again this is what i got:
1. When using Project.gp4 file in the CUSA18880-app folder-

2. When using CUSA18880-app.gp4 file.

I tried to build pkg in PkgTool by LibOrbisPkg via cmd and I can't figure out how to do it.

there should be a gp4 option in new, where it will have you build the package and the gp4 at the same time. I have no idea why it's like that.

It is extracting game and creating gp4 file at the same time, I used this gp4 file to build the pkg but there's another error:

Is there any way to edit game files directly on PS4 and not creating game patches or fully repacking the game?

can't guarantee this will work, but this is the build from the openorbis sdk:
Used editor that was in your archive (extracted and tried to build pkg) and it gives the same error, I think that problem is in .pkg file. After all if we will not be able to solve the problem, is there any way to edit game files directly on PS4?
