help! both of my r4 stopped working and i don't know how to fix it

Those are the 2 r4, i've read about the red chip one but they both stopped working. Keep in mind that I use them for 2 different Nintendo ds. Help!

I would take them as dead, happend to me once, check all components of the cartdrige and nothing, u can get one second hand pretty cheap

Some ds flashcards had a problem called Timebomb try to rewind some years on your system and then see if it works.
if not work maybe we have a hardware problem.

If the cart is loose in the slot, the pins may not have consistent contact. Shim folded paper in the slot to push the R4 into the slot's pins. You could also apply a sticker or 2 on top of the R4 label, for added thickness.

also you can disassembly the r4 and put the shim inside of it for more contact area between the contacts as zfreeman said

Thank you all for your help, but I actually managed to make it work. There was a problem with the kernel etc.
