Hardware [Help] anybody mind helping me choose parts?

In retrospect, I kind of figured this is possible, but I need help doing it. See, I figured if RAM can get a bit finickey when buying PC parts, I want to ask, does anyone know parts I can buy (including laptop shell!!) To customize my own that are compatible with each other?

BTW I'm looking into building a laptop for personal reasons.

I think your only options are vendors like ibuypower and xoticpc, for laptops.
