I recently found out about .tik files and would love to start using them.
However, I cannot access eShop without it telling me to update(I'm doing this on emunand)
I tried loading it through HANS w/ spoofing firmware but it gives me the error after putting in my Nintendo ID credentials. Help?

If you have homebrew would it be better for you to get the freeshop app it basically the same as homebrew.

BTW my CFW is Luma3DS :)
Update your Emunand through system settings, ensure you see the Emu next to your firmware before updating.

When you mean "the Emu next to your firmware" I'm assuming you mean like how in rxtools it has "rxTools" following the system name
Luma3DS does not have this, but I know I am on EmuNAND when I boot in.

You can set luma3ds settings to set emu next to fw number.

Is that so? Oh well, I am kind of a noob after all :/

After the first time you boot Luma3DS from homebrew, it doesn't display those options anymore. Can I get them to pop up somehow?

I updated, tried to go to eshop on emunand. I got an error of 022-2634
I read somewhere it has to do with being linked to NNID, any advice?

If you boot sysnand, do you see the same games/themes that you do on emunand? your bands might be linked, and you should format sysnand using tiny format if you haven't yet (if they're the exact same games as emunand, you shouldn't have to back up anything and just use tinyformat on sysnand to unlink your nands

I fixed it, I just needed to backup my emuNAND, tinyformat the emunand, link my nnid, then put my emuNAND back on
Thanks for the advice though :)
